Port Augusta West Primary School (PAWPS) opened in 1881 and caters for students in years R to 6. The school is located on the North Western side of Port Augusta, at the tip of Spencer Gulf. The school is located less than 1km from the coastline and is situated at the edge of the magnificent Flinders Ranges. It is at the crossroads of three major highways leading to Adelaide, Western Australian and Northern Territory.
The school has a long and well-established reputation. Our aim is to support young people’s development, which ultimately requires a commitment from the whole of society. We must work together to build a solid partnership that recognises young people and their families as key partners and active agents in their own lives and the lives of others. We strive for excellence and provide your child with the solid academic foundation required for further success. This is done in a supportive and productive learning environment that encourages all students to put forward their best effort to ensure they can reach their full potential. We invite you to be an active part of your child’s education through a positive and proactive partnership.
